Features and benefits - Highlights

Agreed Value coverage for total loss or theft, with no depreciation, regardless of vehicle age or mileage

With Porsche Classic Car Insurance Agreed Value, you will always know the minimum you will receive if your car is written-off or stolen, with no deductible if your car is a total loss or is stolen from your locked garage. We’ll pay you the full sum insured, not a depreciated ‘market value’.

Comprehensive cover for any driver 30 years of age and over, no need to name any drivers

To save you an endless list of named drivers, we give you the freedom to allow those you trust, aged 30 years and over, to drive your vehicle on a comprehensive basis. Great for those summer weekends away.

We value your peace of mind

With comprehensive classic car coverage as bespoke as your Porsche Classic, you know that no matter where you are on the road, you and those you care about are covered.

The confidence to travel

No matter where you’re driving, whether you’re in the UK or Europe, you and your passengers will be taken care of. Benefit from unlimited breakdown cover with HomeStart included, in case you don’t get further than your drive.

Diminution in value coverage

Our pioneering Diminution in Value (DIV) cover pays any difference between your Porsche Classic car’s market value before and after a repair, in addition to the repair costs themselves. The maximum amount we will pay is up to 20% of the sum insured for that vehicle, or the cost of the repair following the covered partial loss, or £500,000, whichever is less.

Only as good as the paperwork

The documentation that accompanies your classic vehicle can be key to your vehicle’s value. We cover up to 5% of the total value of your Porsche Classic if the documents are lost or destroyed (up to a maximum £50,000), and will pay up to £5,000 to help replace the documents.

Miss the event, without being out of pocket

If you decide to enter your prized Porsche Classic into an event, such as a Concours, we understand the costs involved can be considerable. So, if your car can’t make it due to a covered loss, we’ll reimburse you for all costs of attendance.

Track day cover

You can use your Porsche Classic up to three times in any single policy period on a race track or circuit in the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, provided that there is no involvement in racing, pacemaking, or being in any contest, speed trial, or any rigorous reliability testing on your car.

In the event of a claim, we will deduct 10% of the covered vehicle value from the amount that we will pay. If your Porsche Classic is considered to be a total loss, and you wish to retain the salvage, the 10% deduction will not apply, but we will deduct 30% of the agreed value (agreed value immediately prior to an incident resulting in the total loss of your Porsche Classic) from the amount that we pay you for the claim.

Choose your preferred workshop or access Porsche’s network of Porsche Recommended Repairers

A specialist car requires a specialist repair. We trust whoever you trust is best to undertake repairs to your Porsche Classic, even if this means sending your car overseas. But if you do need a suggestion, we give you access to a network of Porsche Recommended Repairers with highly trained technicians to make sure of the very best protection and attention to detail.

Porsche Genuine Parts and Paints, where available

We know authenticity is integral to the value of your classic car. That’s why we work as hard as we can to source Porsche Genuine Parts and Paints to repair your Porsche Classic. And in the event parts aren’t available, we’ll pay to have them custom manufactured to the original specification.

We value your time

We aim to respond to claims within 24 hours and issue payment within 48 hours of approval, ensuring you have what you need, when you need it.

The option to restore

Whether due to rarity or sentimental value, we understand replacing your Porsche Classic may not always be an option. That’s why we pay up to 125% of the agreed value to restore it back to the same condition before the covered accident (up to £100,000 above the agreed value), giving you the choice to either replace or restore.

We value your experience

We proactively work with you before, during, and after any claim, so you always know what we cover and what we pay out.

Repairs

What is a Porsche Recommended Repairer?

Porsche recommends specialist independent repairers for body and paint services to its national network of Porsche Centres and customers. These facilities have to meet Porsche standards and their technicians are trained to know your vehicle inside out.

Porsche Recommended Repairers are committed to ensuring that the repairs to your vehicle are completed to the highest standards and are in line with the Porsche approved repair methods. In repairing your vehicle, Porsche Genuine Parts will be fitted, where available, meaning that your Porsche Classic remains a Porsche Classic. In the event parts aren’t available, we’ll pay to have them custom manufactured to the original specification.

The repairs will be warranted by the Recommended Repair Facility against poor workmanship for a minimum period of 36 months or the unexpired period of the Warranty appropriate to the Vehicle at the time of  the original registration (whichever is the longer).

What are the benefits of using Porsche Genuine Parts?

Porsche Genuine Parts are manufactured to meet strict quality standards and can contribute to maintaining maximum safety, reliability and to help retain the future value of your car. All the parts fitted to your vehicle will be covered by a two year genuine parts warranty.

Most insurers will aim to use their preferred repairer network, who may repair your vehicle using non-genuine parts. The use of inferior parts can cause damage to your vehicle and may also compromise your safety and that of your passengers.
